The New Patient Tower at Torrance Memorial Medical Center consists of a seven story, $316 million dollar state of the art facility, encompassing 390,000 square feet, and featuring the latest in medical technologies and a modern design.  The Tower will provide 256 private rooms and 18 surgical and interventional treatment rooms, as well as a basement with a central utility plant and a tunnel connecting the existing hospital to the new Tower.  Craig Leach, President and CEO of Torrance Memorial Medical Center, stated that once completed, "the Tower will be unmatched locally in its energy and environmental design efficiencies. It will truly be a beacon for wellness and sustainability."

650 Sheet Membrane - 60 mil, post-concrete pour waterproofing membrane/vapor retarder

Underseal® Blindside™ Membrane - 73 mil, pre-concrete pour waterproofing membrane used for vertical positive side waterproofing

Underseal® Underslab Membrane - 85 mil pre-concrete pour waterproofing membrane/vapor barrier that provides a continuous seal

 

Drainage Systems

Polyflow® 15 / 15P - Prefabricated geocomposite vertical use drainboard with a compressive strength of 15,000 psf

 

System Accessories

606 Tape - High strength double-sided tape comprised of rubberized asphalt

California Sealant - Used to prime structural surfaces on which waterproofing membranes will be applied

LM-85 SSL - Self leveling flood coat waterproofing membrane

LM-95 - Two-component fast cure urethane waterproofing membrane

Underseal® Fabric Tape - Use around pipe penetrations and at end laps for patching damaged areas of the membrane
